A wordfilter is one of the features of Invision Power Board (along with a lot of other software) that allows for certain words to be "filtered" into other words when they are posted. They're most commonly used to disallow vulgar language, but are easily bypassed and everyone puts fucks and niggers in their avatars/signature images anyway so it doesn't really make a difference. Occasionally wordfilters will be made to edit out websites, which is either caused by or causes drama.

It's very simple to bypass a filter, here are three different examples.

Using a font tag:

   fu[font=verdana]ck[/font]

Using a color tag:

   motherf[color=white]ucker[/color]

Using a bold tag:

   as[b]s[/b]hole
