A gline, short for "global kline", is a ban from an entire IRC network. In the local internet, they're most often used as a way to express personal grudges.

• Dilpo glining Fn0rd from LCIRC because he doesn't like him.

• Bishop glining anyone from LCIRC because he doesn't like them. In extreme instances such as the August 22, 2004 ABS Forums takeover, he adds glines using tricks like wildcards (*) and question marks to replace characters, so other opers can't find the exact gline and remove it.

• raezr being automatically glined from LCIRC for no reason.

• Sinner glining anyone from LuniticFringe for disagreeing with him.
