Something Awful (SA) is a popular humor website that contains a large variety of content created by certain authors as well as members of the forums. The forums are quite popular and influential, and a significant portion of the people on the local internet also have SA memberships. Although SA is not part of the local internet, it is considered a major influence. Most of the catchphrases and current trends floating around the local internet were created and worn out by SA years ago. A lot of internet humor (for example, All Your Base, iceburn.gif) is credited to SA.
