LuniticFringe was an IRC network run by an idiotic megalomaniac named Sinner and is the former home of the "official" #emptv. He and LuniticFringe's opers shared a shitty sense of humor and enjoyed annoying scripts and bots, giant text, and flagrantly violating the rules of the only channel on their network with any semblance of popularity. It has since merged with MegaCityOne, which introduced even more idiots to #emptv. The combined network is now called CrypticEdge, and it holds no affiliation with EMPTV.
