ImageShack

ImageShack is a free image hosting service provided by Kotik (now known as Macbeth). It was originally located at 120by80.com, followed by romshack.us, and primarily hosted images for ABS Forums users. In May of 2004, AB blocked ImageShack URLs from being used on ABS due to a still-unknown disagreement with Macbeth, and insisted people use an obscure host that required registration. In response, rmuser hosted an ImageShack URL rewriter on EMPTV until the filter was removed. ImageShack later became one of the most popular image hosts on the internet, but was also blocked from the Something Awful forums in May of 2006 for advertising.
